The construction of the world’s largest solar power plant, Ouarzazate, was officially launched on May 10. The German government is contributing 115 million euros to this project - helping Morocco implement its solar plan and thus avoid an estimated 230,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year.  more

In Berlin on March 27 2013 the State Secretary at the Federal Environment Ministry, Jürgen Becker, signed a joint declaration of intent with the Greek Ministry of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change (YPEKA) and the EU Commission's Task Force for Greece on strengthening cooperation in the field of renewable energies.  more
