Report on administrative procedures for the authorisation of installations for the generation of electricity from renewable energy sources

Report by the Federal Republic of Germany on achievement of the indicative target for the consumption of electricity produced from renewable energy sources in 2010 and Report on administrative procedures for the authorisation of installations for the generation of electricity from renewable energy sources One of the German Government's central political objectives is to achieve a sustainable energy supply. The aim is to secure energy supply for future generations while taking account of ecological goals and simultaneous economic growth. A key element of this strategy is to significantly increase the share of energy supply accounted for by renewable energy sources in the interests of conserving finite energy resources and with a view to environmental and climate protection. The German Government's goal is to double the share of energy from renewable sources in electricity production to 12.5% between 2000 and 2010. This development should then continue beyond 2010.
