Development of Renewable Energy Sources in Germany 2009

In the economic crisis year 2009, renewable energy sources (RES) proved themselves to be a stable factor. Despite exceptionally unfavourable wind conditions, in 2009 renewable energy sources supplied slightly more energy than the previous year, with around 238 billion kWh in total (previous year: 236 billion kWh).
