Economic Impetus from Renewable Energy

With the expansion of renewable energy use over the past decades the renewable energy sector has considerably gained in importance for Germany’s economy. In 2019, investments in installations for the use of renewable energy, however, were considerably lower than in previous years, amounting to €10.5 billion. Since a large part of the added value is generated by the manufacture and construction of these installations within the country, these investments are a direct benefit for the German economy.
